This notice explains how Bella Vista uses personal information from people who contact us, send an event enquiry or book a table, and how cookies are used on this website.
Who we are
Bella Vista Bristol is the trading name of Bella Vista Italian Restaurant Limited, registered in England & Wales, company no. 08972296. Registered office: Ground Floor Wessex House, Pixash Lane, Keynsham, Bristol BS31 1TP. Restaurant: 2B Victoria St, Redcliffe, Bristol BS1 6DT.

What we collect and why

We do not use your details for marketing, and we never sell them.
How the enquiry form works
The enquiry form on this website does not store or send anything itself. When you press send, it opens your own email app with a message addressed to us. Nothing reaches us until you send that email. It then arrives in our Google (Gmail) inbox.
Table bookings through Dojo
Table bookings (including Christmas bookings) are handled by Dojo, our booking partner, on its own platform. When you book, Dojo collects your details under its own terms and privacy notice, which you will see during booking. Please read Dojo’s privacy notice too. Dojo then shares your booking details with us: your name, contact details, party size, date and time, and any notes or allergy tags you add. Booking conditions such as deposits, pre-orders and cancellation are set out in the Dojo booking journey before you confirm.
Who we share it with
- Google, who provides our email service.
- Dojo, who provides our booking system.
- Our website host, which records basic technical logs (such as IP addresses) to run and secure the site.
- Our accountants, insurers or professional advisers, only where needed. We also share information where the law requires, for example with food safety authorities.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they use appropriate safeguards required by UK data protection law.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry emails and booking details for up to 12 months after your enquiry or event, then delete them. Allergy, dietary and accessibility information is deleted once your event has taken place. We keep information longer only if the law requires it (for example, financial records are kept for 6 years).
Keeping it safe
This website is served over a secure (HTTPS) connection. Access to our inbox and booking system is limited to the staff who need it, and those accounts are protected by strong passwords.
Cookies
This website does not use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, so we do not ask for cookie consent. It does not set any cookies of its own. It does store one small item in your browser:

Our fonts are hosted on this website, so no data is sent to font providers. Table bookings, including Christmas bookings, are made on Dojo’s own website, where Dojo may set its own cookies, which Dojo’s privacy notice explains. Links to Dojo, Instagram, Facebook, Tripadvisor and Google Maps take you to those sites, and their own policies apply there.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, and to have it corrected or deleted. You can also ask us to restrict or stop using it, withdraw consent, or ask for a portable copy. To make a request, contact us using the details above. We will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO): ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, or call 0303 123 1113.
Changes
We may update this notice. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
